Christmas wreath exchange...

There's a Christmas wreath exchange party this afternoon, hosted by one of the ladies from one of my favorite quilt stores, SewFlakes, Here's the wreath I made to take. The woody vine is from our garden, something that I made and hung on a branch this past summer.....I think it is the perfect backdrop for the bird house and birdie I stitched and embellished with vintage buttons and glass beads. Attached with red wire, in the lower left corner, is a vintage Christmas postcard from my postcard collection.
 Some close-ups of the wreath.

Had some labels printed for my stitching projects hoping to get serious about an Etsy shop... maybe next year!

Thanks for visiting!

What a wonderful idea to swop wreaths. I love the simplicity of your one with such lovely hand made decorations. Happy Christmas to you and your family.......xx

That's lovely! I have been noticing more and more hand-made Christmas ideas.....perhaps we are going back to the times when, if you didn't make it, you didn't have it. Whatever the reason, it's a trend of which I approve!
